Responsible business is the buzzword of the last decade. Taking care of your company goes hand in hand with caring for your people and the planet. Our client Deloitte has been an expert in this field for years. But when it comes to storytelling and making sure the message truly sticks, you need an event that is larger than life. That’s where we come in.

A Green Location

The Responsible Business Summit 2023 was all about creativity and innovation. To achieve the desired goals, we had to challenge our client – and think outside the box. After all, how else do you get 55 senior business leaders from the largest companies in the Netherlands to attend the Summit?
First, we needed to choose our location strategically. We selected the Bimhuis in Amsterdam, near Central Station. Not just for convenience but also for its sustainability. Every aspect of the event was designed to be green, from the choice of materials to resource management.
We wanted the audience to be immersed in the theme from the moment they entered the venue. So, we transformed the space with inspiring quotes and stories, centering it around a gigantic compass on stage – a symbol of uncertain times.

Personal stories and open dialogues

To set the tone for the event, the opening had to be truly special. And we made it happen – through the magic of music. A symphonic opening with an orchestra created a powerful start, capturing the audience’s attention from the very first second.

Instead of traditional keynote speakers, we chose personal stories and open dialogues. This approach ensured that all attendees – primarily boardroom and executive committee members – were actively engaged in the discussion. Rather than just listening, they were encouraged to share their own experiences.

Not only did we gain valuable insights through open and honest conversations, but we also made the audience an integral part of the event, rather than mere spectators. To inspire real behavioral change, we concluded with an interactive session – a moment to reflect on the topic and discuss how to integrate responsible business practices into everyday professional efforts.

Immersive experience

The main goal of the Responsible Business Summit was to focus on opportunities—to create a significant positive impact for all participating companies and to empower and inspire leaders to take the next steps toward responsible decision-making. And we succeeded.
